An Ode to Pockets
Meet the Stanian. The latest pocket bag by Village England
There’s not much that excites me more than a decent pocket. You can call me boring, I don’t mind. Maybe it’s because, for women, pockets are gold dust. Finding a dress with pockets is like hitting the jackpot. The pockets in our trousers are barely big enough to fit even a phone.
Alas, it’s often the same story with bags these days. I’ll give you an insider’s secret - pockets are expensive when you’re in the factory, so often they seem to disappear. But we’ve always started with the function of a bag in mind - it has to work.
In 2014, the Times and the Telegraph both dubbed our Beamish pocket bag the “Bag of the Season”. Now if that's not a tough act to follow, I don't know what is. But I think we’ve nailed it with our latest iteration. Meet the Stanian.
This soft and slouchy hobo bag has two external pockets to give you instant access to all the things you need close at hand. That’s not to mention the large internal zipped pocket and two mobile phone pockets on the inside - just the thing for holding all your essentials without them getting lost in bag oblivion.
There are three colours to choose from. Ink Blue, Oxblood and Grey. And it comes in two sizes: Medium, big enough to fit all your everyday essentials, and Large, for all that and more (it’s the perfect travel companion). Perfectly versatile, it can be worn to across body or over the shoulder.
So here’s cheers to pockets, and our perfect pocket bag.
